Could I blog for a living?

I am relatively new to this blogging lark. Even the word Blogging reminds me of a cross between Canadian tree-felling, the insulation between the bricks of my house and a Scandinavian cartoon character.

Nonetheless, I am determined to have a go at it. Can't be that hard surely?

How long is a blog? What is it made of? What nationality is it? Definitely not English, well, English as I know it. After all, I studied English right up to university first year, before I decided to take French as my major subject, mainly so that I could spend my third year in France. I applied to go to the Loire Valley, with its wines, culture, its wines, big cities, its wines, the culinary delights of the area, its wines, the pleasant weather, and of course, its wines.

When my assignment arrived throough the letter box and I broke all records known to man sliding down the stairs to open the letter, I found to my horror that I was headed for Normandy, home of the town with the highest occurance of alcoholism in the world, Vire. My town was to be La Ferte-Mace, far enough away from the Loire Valley without my own transport as seemed the moon.

I nearly didn't even get there. My experience in France is covered in chapter 3 of my book A Mere Mortal which I am currently refining and editing for the third time. Maybe you would like to be involved in the editing process yourself? Just leave me a message on Facebook and I will give it some consideration. Speak soon!
